We are excited about up and coming research regarding babywearing!! Our friends at USC and Belmont University are conducting a survey to understand the physical and mental health challenges and benefits for caregivers of using baby carrier. Can you help them out?!
Read below for more information and a link to the study:
'Physical closeness is a critical component to the relationship between caregiver and child. Carrying an infant or toddler in a baby carrier could aid in this close physical contact, but how the use of baby carriers affects mental and physical health of the caregiver is not known. Our team of researchers at University of Southern California and Belmont University are investigating current practices and experiences. Your experiences as a caregiver (parent, other family member, nanny, foster parent, etc.) over the age of 18 years to a child under the age of 5 years will be critical to help us understand this unique relationship. Please consider taking 10-15 minutes to fill out this online survey.
Your participation in this study is completely voluntary, and your responses will be anonymous and confidential. Your completion and submission of the survey indicates your consent to participate in this study.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation with this important effort. Your help will make a significant contribution to the understanding of health benefits and challenges to using baby carriers. Results from this study will be disseminated at conferences and publications to inform others. Any questions may be directed to Dr. Havens at [email protected] or Dr. Starnes at [email protected]'
